Course Duration: 10 days | Time: 9am to 1pm | Course Locations: VILT, Lagos, Houston, San Diego
Course Description
This class will help participants understand the various EOR options and key elements of a successful Gas/WAG EOR project. An important part of planning and designing EOR projects is recognizing the importance of life cycle planning. This workshop will help participants understand how life cycle planning can enable EOR development. A brief introduction to key elements of slim tube and mechanistic simulations will be included. Sometime engineers bypassed these important tools and go straight to 3D simulations without recognizing the use of these tools to understand complex reservoir mechanisms. Several case studies will be presented. Videos will be played to compliments the lectures. Participants are encouraged to give presentations of own challenges and blockers to mature gas/WAG projects in own job

2.What is EOR and why do it?
3.What are the major EOR options?
4.Understand various EOR screening parameters for key types of EOR
5.Recognise and understand factors that may influence EOR development
6.Understand key phase behaviour requirements for gas/WAG EOR study
7.Understand the various mechanisms associated with EOR such as, gravity segregation, dispersion and diffusion
